Mascobado sugar is produced by a simple traditional method. As the processes of decentrifugation of molasses and refining are not used, the product is very tasty and retains the full flavor of the sugarcane.
  Harvesting 2-meter high sugarcane under a burning sun is heavy work.   Harvested fresh sugarcane is squeezed.  
  The sugarcane juice is boiled down. Then the juice is purified by repeated filtration and sedimentation.   The syrup is stirred and then dried on a table. The powdered sugar is packaged to be shipped.
